Question: Is there a alternative to gall bladder polyps than removal of the gallbladder I have a polyp and will be having surgery next year as it is very large

I am so sorry to hear about this gall bladder polyp. Treatment is mainly surgical and there are no other methods which have been shown to be helpful. Medications would control pain but cannot prevent complications like stone formation and blockage of the bile ducts. I strongly recommend that you go with surgery as it is a one time fix with excellent results. Risk would be minimal and healing is fast.
