Brief Answer:
CHANCE OF PREGNANCY IS QUITE LESS.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us on Healthcare Magic.

1) Chance of pregnancy is QUITE LOW because there was NO proper sexual intercourse and she took Unwanted-72 pill after 12 hrs which gives more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy.

2) She will get a withdrawal bleeding within 5 to 7 days. I suggest her to wait for next coming period and if it delays more than 7 days, she needs to undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt about pregnancy.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and practice safe sex always.

Regards,
Dr Soumen

Sir thanks fr replyin...
But if possibly no ejaculated liquid was in there...then would the consumption of that pill cause her any side effect or hormonal imbalance.?
And how many days after the withdrawal period will normal period occur?

Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

1) Emergency pill (like Unwanted-72 pill) is usually taken TO AVOID minimal to high chance of unwanted pregnancy whether you ejaculate inside the vagina or nearby. It should be used in emergency only and NOT for regular purpose.

Side effect includes nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramp, hormonal imbalance and late or irregular period etc. However, prevention of unwanted pregnancy should be the FIRST preferences despite of above effects.

2) Her regular period and withdrawal bleeding may coincide as she is 10 days far away from period due date (according to 25 days cycle). However, period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks due to hormonal imbalance. In that case, one home pregnancy test should be carried out 14 days after last sexual activity to clear doubt about pregnancy.

Hope, I have answered your query and it helps to understand properly. Kindly, close the discussion.

Good luck and all the best.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
