Is There Any Connection Between Preauricular Lymph Node And Molar Tooth?
Question: Hi,
Is there any connection with the preauricular lymph node and molar tooth?
I dont have 2 molar tooth as i can see the muscels(and there is no pain) on my lower left side and a swollen lymph node(size less than 1 cm) near my ear lobe on my left side since last 1 month.
I have seen like 6-7 doctors in last 1 month including ENT specialist but they are saying it because of some infection

I would like to ask some more questions related to your swelling (lymph node) , like tenderness of node.
Normally, pre auricular lymphnodes drains eye lid, temple, ear canal and pinna.if any infection related to this structures will cause enlargement of lymphnodes.
It could be due to otitis externa , wax, eczema,seborrohea extending into pinna, eye related disorders like conjunctivitis. temple- acne.
I suggest you to to consult ENT surgeon and get detailed ENT examination, otoscopy, if necessary eye surgeon opinion and fine needle aspiration cytology of that node.
I advise you to stop all medications, till you evaluate.

I will tell you in details
I got stye in my eyes almost like one and half month ago. Once it got better i got a swollen lymph node near my earlobe.Because of this swollen lymph node(0.5 cm) i was very stress.
After 10 days i went to see a doctor and he said the my ear is red and because of this a got a swollen lymph node. And he gave me ciprofloxin ear drop.
5 days after this i again felt like there is something in my throat and my neck is very stiff. I again went to doctor and i insisted him to take my blood test and thyroid test. And the result came back normal.
Again after 5 days i went to see a different doctor and he took a swab test of my throat and said that its a strep throat. he gave me Peniciline VX for my strep throat. In between my swollen lymph node was like the same.
Again after a week i felt like i am burping too much as well as i felt discomfort in my stomach. I again went to see a different doctor and he said that may be its a acid reflux .I told him i want to see ENT specialist.
In between i felt like i have want to clear my throat, when i burp i feel like my throat is good. Sometime i feel like there is something in my throat and sometime its feel good. But keep on burping whole day.
I went to see ENT specialist and he checked my throat and lymph node and he said i am all good. I also took a h.pylori test.. waiting for its result.
Right now i feel like i am having little difficulty while swallowing food and sometime my lymph node burn. I also went to dentist to check my molar teeth (since last 1 year i don't have my molar tooth). my dentist told me that lymph node can be because of my infection tooth.
Can you please help me. My lymph node is not going down. One day i feel like it is very very small and the next day it back to its size(0.5 cm).
Since i last 4-5 day i am closing my mouth and ear and trying to flow air... i feel like some sound in my ear where the lymph node is. Can blocking of Eustachian tube can cause swollen lymph node.
