Is Pregnancy Possible Through Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?

default
Posted on Fri, 15 Jul 2016
Question: I had sex with a condom on and withdrew. I took the condom off and disposed of it soon after. I didn't wipe off my penis but there was no visible ejaculate on it. 5 minutes later, I had sex again with a condom but realized I put it on backwards and flipped prior to penetrating. What are the chances of my partner becoming pregnant due to this?

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Let me know few things.

1) What was her last date of period? Did her previous cycle regular? Duration of cycle?

2) When did you involve in sexual intercourse according to her cycle date?

3) Does she has any history of systemic disease like thyroid, over weight, Hypertension or PCOD?

The first day of her last period was the 5th. We had sex on the 19th at 1:30am. She has had no such problems like that.

Brief Answer:
Extremely low to rare chance of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for your updated information.

As per her last date of period, you did sexual intercourse around her fertile period if cycle length is 28-30 days.

There was NO proper ejaculation and you were on condom. Therefore, chance of her pregnancy is extremely LOW to RARE.

I suggest her to await for next coming period and if it delays more than 1 week, I suggest to undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care.

Yes, but the outside of that condom had touched the tip of my penis which may have had residual sperm from 5-10 minutes prior?

Brief Answer:
Very low to rare chance.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

I understand your concern.

Sperm dies very soon in external environment or outside the vagina/female genital tract.

In this case, chance of pregnancy is extremely low to rare as there was NO proper ejaculation inside the vagina.

I suggest to await for next coming period and clear doubt by undergoing home pregnancy test.

Hope, it helps for you. Good luck and take care.

Regards,
