Question: Hello, just got my results back from physical. white and red blood counts are normal (nothing too high or too low)...however my platelets are 112. Should I be worried? I feel fine other than now fearing the worse.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry much about that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi , dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your WBC count and RBC count is normal.
Your platelets count is slightly low.
It can be subclinical viral infection or other infection.

If you don't have any symptoms then nothing to worry. It will be normal within a week.

So just repeat your platelets count after a week.

If you experience any sign of easy bruise or bleeding then consult your doctor urgently.
Don't worry much about your platelets if you are physically fit.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
