Brief Answer:
This may be a transient adverse effect related to decadron

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that it is normal to have some transient palpitations and ectopic heart beats after decadron shots. This is a common adverse effect of this drug.

I recommend waiting a couple of hours for your heart rate to normalize.

If the palpitations persist even after a couple of hours, I recommend consulting with your doctor and performing a resting ECG to exclude possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Meanwhile, juts try to relax.

Hope to have been of help!

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask me!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
