Brief Answer:
Not unless the medical conditions are optimally under control.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Female/63 - has CCF, pulm HT, cirrhosis and hiatal hernia - wants to know whether can have gall stone removal surgery in spite of all these ailments - visited Doctors in the area - they say no.

There are two main issues:
- Are the gall bladder stones symptomatic? Do you have any symptoms related to GB stones?
- How much are you medically fit.

With the ailments you have mentioned, gall bladder surgery can not be done unless the medical conditions are optimally under control to allow the trauma of anesthesia and surgery, the post-operative period.

I hope this answer helps you to understand the potential dangers.

Brief Answer:
Discuss Cholecystostomy and removal of stones.

Detailed Answer:
Medically fit means that the patient's medical condition is optimally under control so that the risk of surgery and anesthesia are minimal or nil. Since you have multiple medical problems, all of them should be well under control at the time of surgery.

If the gall stones are symptomatic, you may please discuss about cholecystostomy with your Surgeon - stomy means opening, removal of stones under local anesthesia where the risk is calculated.
Removal of stones can reduce the risk of further complications related to the gall stones.
The cause of pain in upper and lower abdomen has to be determined beforehand.

I hope this answer helps you further.
