Is Ciprofloxacin A Dangerous Antibiotic?
Question: Is ciprofloxacyne a dangerous antibiotic? I was prescribed it today for epididymitis. Read it is effective but how high is the risks of tendon damage or CDiff?

Welcome to HCM. I would say that you have a higher true risk of getting C.Diff than getting tendon rapture. The risk of tendon rapture is there however, it is markedly increased over the age of 60yrs old. I have not personally met a patient with tendon rapture, however, I have met a plethora of them having C.Diff after use of Ciprofloxacin. I hope that that helps you out. Tale care and thanks.
