Is 2.5 Of TSH Value At 4 Weeks Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
Question: Is 2.53 TSH value at 4 weeks pregnancy allright? Lab test reference range is till 2.5

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns
No need to worry.
Though we take TSH less than 2.5 as normal, we usually don't start treatment at a value 0.03 higher. What I do in a similar case is to repeat the test along with total T4 and anti thyroid antibodies.
If antibodies are normal and T4 is on the upper half of normal, I won't treat. I will repeat T4,TSH after 4 weeks. Any doubtful or abnormal report, I will start treatment immediately as the benefits of over treatment out weights the risks.
