How To Check If Hymen Is Intact?
Question: Hi,
Me and my husband recently tried penetrative sex. I had some queries regarding the same as its new for both of us.
1. My vaginal hole seems to be a little small. I can insert one finger and some times 2 fingers at a time , but not more than that. Is this normal?
2. How do i know if my hymen is broken?
3. I fel his penis just going near the entrance, not fully inside. is it something to worry? Please let me know?
4. I am also have borth control pills for hormonal balance. can this affect something in intercourse ?

Yes dear it is completely normal to not able to insert more than 2 fingers in a virgin vagina so nothing to worry.
Hymen usually gets torn during adolescent life only as there are a lot of sport activities in school and due to cycling etc but you can very well feel a little pain and spotting at the site of hymen during intercourse and even 1-2 days after that (I in case it gets freshly torn in sexual activity).
Incomplete penetration is common during first few days of sexual activity due to pain and inconvenience.
Hormones play a part by decreasing libido to some extent in 10-15% of patients but once you indulge in sexual activity there is no problem because of the effect of hormones.
So just give it some time and also spend more time in foreplay which will also help in smooth penetrations

yes dear you can upload the pic after slight separation of labial lips and thus exposing the opening of vagina.
Visna gel is readily available and can be generously used like size of a one rupee coin and apply generously.
Amount can be doubled also for initial use.

I had a couple of follow up ques.
1. How long after the brownish black elastic discharge can I expect my periods? And how long after stopping the pills do periods usually come?
2. Yesterday nite when I wiped my vagina with a tissue ,I found little red blood and I though periods were starting but today morn again blackish brown and that too when I wipe them. Is this normal?
3. I am having pcod and having thyronorm too. Hope this dosent affect the cycle now?
4 . before 4 months when I did a ultrasound ,there was free fluid in pouch of XXXXXXX Is it worrisome?

Hello dear, usually periods start in 1-3 days after tha start of discharge and this is common in early pill usage months.
Wait for a couple of days and surely you will get your periods.
This problem is more common in pcod patients and in case you haven't had a thyroid hormone test in past 6 months then get it done.
Free fluid is usually seen just after ovulation just prior to upcoming periods but if found persistently with lower abdominal pain or pain during intercourse then it indicates pelvic infection and thus a proper evaluation is needed.

Ok I will wait and see.. I was worried because I was having red blood and brown discharge yesterday,so was worried.

I have got my thyroid levels checked before two months and it higher..so having thyronorm also vitamin d pills.

There is no relation of birth control pill efficacy and thyroid or pcod.
Just get your thyroid hormone level repeated as at times titration of dose is needed and thus this problem of blackish discharge will resolve.
Also keep a check on weight gain because at times increasing weight also causes all these problems.
