Question: I am currently on fragmin and misscarried on Sunday at home. I experience quite a bit of bleeding , very large clots for approx 6 hrs. Today is day 4 and I feel so exhausted, almost like I have been up all night. My bleeding has subsided quite a bit today but I am worried about how much is normal blood loss during a misscarriage and when to worry?

Brief Answer:
If flow is moderate then wait for 2-3 days more.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Normally during a miscarriage the blood loss varies from 50-150 ml. The feeling of exhaustion is due to the blood loss. After the expulsion of products usually the pain and bleeding subsides. If the blood flow is not more than what you have during your regular periods then you can wait for 2-3 days more to get an ultrasound scan done to find out if the miscarriage is complete or not.

Regarding blood flo not being more than a period, ia this during the miscariage or after? Because suring rhw miscarriage,my bleeding was probably 5x heavier than my heaviest period. I coukdnt wven wipe myself without blood on my hands. The toilet was filled with blood when the miscarriage was happening.

Brief Answer:
It is after miscarriage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
After the miscarriage or in between when small pieces come out the flow is just like a period. Initially the bleeding is very heavy but it subsides as soon as large pieces come out.
Hope my answer is helpful.
