Brief Answer:
Grunting

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
It is difficult to assess grunting without a physical exam. One thing to look for is something called "nasal flaring". This is the movement of the nostril openings with inspiration and expiration. In the absence of nasal flaring, the illness is less severe.
However, grunting is best assessed in person. I am certain you have a follow up appointment scheduled with your doctor. I recommend following the current treatment plan until that visit.
