Question: I am 55 yr old gone through menapause, had breast cancer 2012; radiotherapy, tamoxifen & now letrozole. I had postmenapausal bleeding referred to gynae had u/s showed lining 9mm so had hysteroscopy & D&C last week. I checked time I went to theatre and time I woke up very quick all within 25 mins.When I mentioned this to recovery nurse she told me the actual procedure was from 11.22 to 11.26 surely this cannot be right ?

Hysteroscopy and D&C are short procedures. It takes 10-15 minutes to accomplish both of these. Doing the procedure in just 4 minutes means they must have taken only endometrial biopsy and not a complete curettage. Hysteroscopy must have been eventful that is why they took such a short time.
