Question: YYYY@YYYY How many days to get relief from getting off of methadone. I have one left 10 mg. for tomorrow. I have the chills so bad. I do have clonidine 1 mg. I have taken 4 today. Doesn't help much.
I have been to my Dr. just gave me another script for the clonidine. I have 8 left of them . Should I go back to Dr. again? I cannot wait to be over this! It has been a rough week. Also have ringing in the ears, since Dec. 15. Please help. Thank you!

Methadone or opioid withdrawal can last from 1 week to 1 month.

you are having symptoms even after 1 week. this is common after stopping opiate.

clonidine might not help much in reducing chills and tremors. do not take it more than advised by your doctor. it can cause drastic blood pressure changes.

I believe propranolol might help.

Kindly visit your doctor again and discuss this.
