How Can Positive VDRL Be Treated?
Question: When does vdrl occur and how it's treated....how many sitting a treatment to be taken if reactive. If non reactive Wat is precautionary treatment.thanks

I would like to know what are your symptoms? VDRL does not have symptoms. It is syphilis which is disease and causes reactive VDRL. If VDRL titre is more than 1:8 then it is considered significant and needs other confirmation tests like FTA Abs and TPHA.
Syphilis has various symptoms depending upon state. There can be condyloma a genital ulcer, mucocutaneous lesion, lymphadenopathy. Sometimes cardiovascular and neurological symptoms in advanced disease. It is an STD transmitted diseases. Treatment is antibiotics. Safe sexual practices in high risk.

I don't have any symptoms all is normal but they said diagnosis tithe is 1:2. I did this check up as my hubby is working in gulf and applied for family visa.... So we need to get medical fitness certificate by affiliated centers. When I did there they said it's reactive with. 1:2 diagnosis thither. My doc said no such ratio at all and it's non reactive. Did in appolo , mmm, XXXXXXX foundation in XXXXXXX Pls advise
