Brief Answer:
The symptoms seem to be related to POTS

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms seem to be related to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
I recommend to use medications such as Midodrine to relieve the symptoms. This is a prescription medication.
I also suggest to use salt in the diet and drink liquids.
I recommend to avoid processed foods and eat healthy meals with fruits and vegetables.
Compression stockings can also be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards!

Hello, I am already being treated for POTS. I do not tolerate Midodrine or Fludrocort well. I’ve been on a high salt diet for several months now and don’t partake in any processed foods or caffeine. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, non-drug user.
Ive been experiencing rapid fluctuations of blood pressure, consistent heart rate drops, and low oxygen. None of which are common for POTS.
I have had multiple x-rays, CT’s, MRI’s, holtor studies, and echocardiograms done. All of which have come back mostly normal. Still my symptoms persist. Is this common, is there not other explanation? Could there not be something else you suspect in conjunction with POTS? Even if you are uncertain any information would help, I’m really struggling and I am desperate for answers. Please,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Check the thyroid hormone levels for evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

I am really sorry to hear that you are struggling with your symptoms.
I see through the query that you have undergone many tests.
I recommend to check the thyroid hormone levels which can cause similar symptoms.
I also recommend to check for diabetes.
Meanwhile, I suggest to continue the dietary changes which can be very helpful.

Hope it helps dear,
Take care.
