Question: I had Mirena taken out Sept. 27th, & the 28th to Oct. 2nd I had a period (usually last 7 days). On Oct. 3rd, the bleeding stopped, but I have been having brown mucous like discharge up to now. What is this, should I be worried?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild brownish discharge that you are having is the left over blood from your periods. After removal of Mirena coil, this is a normal finding. Please do not worry as this will subside on its own without any treatment over next 7-10 days.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
