Answered by Dr. Dr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
no it is not associated with this side effect

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

In my carrier of 15 years in medical practice I never seen a patient with erectile dysfunction while taking whey protein.

At the same time whey protein is associated with health benefits and not harms. In few cases it can cause allergy but do not lead to ED.

I Hope this answers your question.
If you have any questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
The answer is same

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

The answer remains same after even long term use.

It is possible that many people who indulge in body building also take steroids that could be cause of ED.

So if you take only nutritious diet and whey protein there is no risk of ED associated with it.

Internet is never reliable and anybody can write anything there.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Gastrointestinal and kidney problem

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thank for reverting back to me.

In fact the normal doses of whey protein do not create any problem for the majority and free of side effects. But yes if there is excessive intake of whey protein they affect your digestive systems and cause indigestion, bloating, nausea , vomiting and many more (fatigue, headaches) side effects.

In long run there is also possibility of renal problem as there is excessive protein which becomes difficult for kidney to handle.

I hope this clears your doubt.
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
It depends on your body weight

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks again.

The exact amount of protein reequired depends n your body weight and level of exercise. For a 60 kg young male the normal requirement of protein is 50-60 Gram per day and about 5-10 gram protein is supplied by various grains(100gram) including rice and wheat.

So if you take 50 gram in addiction to that chicken and cereals there is possibility that it will be in high dose range. Considering this fact it will appropriate to limit your protein intake to 1.5 gram per kg per day.

I hope this helps you.

Brief Answer:
protein around 1.5 gm per day

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for writing back to me.

For any person the energy content should come in following way.
60 to 70 % from carbohydrates
15 to 20 % from proteins and 15 to 30% from fats

For an averagely built healthy male the total requirement is 1800 to 2000 Kcal and if you are doing exercise for 1 hour about 200 kilocalories are needed more in compare to the sedentary life style person.

I hope this answers your question.
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
1.5 gram per ka per day

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I mean per kilogram not per pound. The 1.5 gram is maximum recommendation that can be taken. For a non exercising male the recommendation is 1gram per kg per day.

After viewing your BMI report I just want to increase calorie content to 2100-2300 Kcal per day from previous 2000 Kcal per day and rest remains same.

I can just give you random recommendations. If you want diet chart it will be appropriate to contact a dietitian for same. He will be the best person to guide you about daily intake.

I hope this answers your question.

I asked you for exercising male . I exercise four days a week my weight is 70 kg and i want to just increase my muscles so how much protein i should take to increase and how much to maintain and better chicken snd eggs or shall i include whey protein as well
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary (45 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
That is for exercising men

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

The answer above already answered your query.

The normal requirement of protein for non exercising is 1 gram per kg per day but for exercising men like you the requirement is 1.5 gram per kg per day.

Considering your weight and other paramemters you need to take around 100 gram protein per day.

As you are taking whey protein (50 gram) you need additional 50 gram from other sources.

For that purpose you can take three eggs (one egg contains 6 gram protein) and 100 gram chicken (100 gram contains about 20 gram) as remaining will be provided by your vegetables and cereals.
In case you are taking cereals 300 gram (contains 7-10 gram protein per 100 gram) you need to cut down on whey protein.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Your protein content is too high

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

In my view your protein content is more than 2 gram per kg per day which is too high considering your exercise schedule.

You either need to cut down protein content or need to increase exercise to at least two hours a day.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards
