Does Skipping Rope Have Any Effect On Menstruation?
Question: My LMP is 10.10.2015. My periods cycle is 25-28 days. I want to attend a function on 11.11.2015. So, to prepone periods with the advice of doctor I took meprate from 23.10.2015 to 25.10.2015, morning and night 1 tablet. Till now I did not get periods. My doctor advised me to wait till 6.11.2015.and from 7th she asked me to have sysron tablets to post pone. But I'm so afraid whether I may get periods on 7th or after that. Can I do skipping to get periods.

I have read your query & understand your concern.
You had taken tab. Meprate 6 pills in three days to prepone your menses.
The Meprate is a hormonal preparation. In patients like yourself, it acts by inducing withdrawal bleeding. This usually occurs within 8 days ( at the most 10 days )of withdrawal of hormone( ie- stopping of the pills.). You had the pills till 25-10-15. so you will get bleeding by 2nd to 4th of November.
please don't worry be relaxed, you will get bleeding till 4th and there won't be need to postpone your periods .Please don't be anxious, for tension itself is known to cause delay in period.
Skipping may help bleeding to start, but over physical exertion is also known to postpone periods. So better avoid the excess strain. The withdrawal of hormones are sufficient to cause preponement of menses. So Enjoy the function.
Taking into consideration possibility of conception as a cause of missed periods, taking Sysron pills to postpone periods after failure of preponement is not advisable.. ( as these pills are known to cause fetal abnormality ) .

I am confident now.
Even then I have a doubt. My delay of periods is not due to pregnancy. So, can I take sysron from 7th if I don't get the periods. I want to be at safer side and asking you this question.

Hi,
Thank you for follow up query.
If your menstrual cycle is 28 days this time &. you want to postpone it you have to start Sysron at least 3 days prior to the expected date ( which would be 7th of November )
You have already taken pills for preponing periods. which scientifically should induce bleeding before 4th of November- the latest. Actually taking hormones irregularly in same menstrual cycle is not ideal( it may create menstrual irregularity )
But if it's a must & you want to be safe & take pills for postponing it should be started on 5th of November.. do not wait till 7th( for it will be too late to adjust hormones just on day of periods & prevent periods expected on the same day. ).. for a dependable effect.
You have to take two pills of Sysron twice a day ( 12 hourly ) regularly till the date you want to prolong the period. Again on stopping the pills you will get menses within 8-10 days of stopping the pills. with possibility of irregular periods for a couple of months.
* You can plan it as discussed.. but I still feel you will get it preponed with the dose you had already taken.( provided there is no menstrual irregularity due to some other cause)
