Brief Answer:
Correlation is not established

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to this site!
I am Dr V XXXXXXX
I am a Dermatologist.

I have noted your details and examined them from your perspective. I think Psoriasis is less likely to have been due to the conditions mentioned by you.

I presume that the diagnosis is not in doubt. Keeping that in mind, I would suggest you some measures that would be of great help under the present circumstances:

1 For any psoriasis patient, the period of acute exacerbation is most troublesome and during this phase one must take care of diet which should be healthy and have lots of green vegetables and fresh fruits. There is need for good sleep as well as hydration of the skin. Even otherwise these measures are helpful in the intervening phases when the activity of disease is low.

2 Emollients like coconut oil or moisturizers are quite helpful.

3 As far as possible, one should stay away from any steroidal preparation but let the physician decide if one is to be given steroids topically, the choice of steroid, the dose, and the duration as well as if frequent monitoring is needed. In general. steroids need to be given only sometimes and that too for short periods.

4 Avoidance of pain killers is recommended

5 Anti-allergics like Cetirizine are a great help in relieving the symptoms as mentioned by you. In such a situation, even cold compresses followed by soothing oily preparation should give you prompt relief.

I would like to emphasize her that you please try to taper hydro cortisone earnestly as in the long run, you will be better off without this medication. I have had several patients with such a history and have received excellent feedback from them with the use of these measures.

I sincerely hope that you recover fast.

Our best wishes!
