Does Methadone Usage In Pregnancy Show Positive Results In The Fetus?

Question: I know someone that is 34 weeks pregnant & smoking meth if she stops now will the baby show positive for meth by the time she gives birth??

Hi dear!

By using Umbilical cord tissue testing we can determine that that mother was user of methadone.
Methadone can be detected for a shorter time with some tests, but can be "visible" for up to three months in other tests.
The timetable for detecting methadone in the system is also dependent upon each individual's metabolism, body mass, age, hydration level, physical activity, health conditions and other factors, making it almost impossible to determine an exact time methadone will show up on a drug test.
The most important thing is that the baby may have withdrawal symptoms of methadone .
She should stop using methadone .

Yes this is normal because muscels are stretching from high pressure of baby,amniotic liquid,placenta.
In this pregnancy age fetal head pushes below causing you pressure feeling.
