Does Intake Of Prostium ES Cause Cancer?
Question: My wife's O&G doctor prescribes CCQ 100-Day2 to Day5, Prostium ES- Day6 to Day20 (two tablets daily). We just checked Prostium ES drug information in internet and found that it causes cancer. Hence please provide us correct guidance for this particular drug i.e. Prostium ES and tell if it causes cancer or not? Also provide other side effects of the drug.

Prostium ES contains estradiol hormone that has a proliferative effect on the endometrium. These medicines if taken on a long term can cause endometrial cancer but in your wife's case these are given to enhance the chances of fertility and the tablets are given for only fifteen days in a month. So you need not worry. It can cause mild nausea, headache and an increase in breast size. there can be an increase in bleeding during the periods also.
