Brief Answer:
Use condoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

1. These tablets will not provide contraceptive cover. Hence there is chance of pregnancy.

2. It is better to use condoms along with these tablets for protection.

I had few more questions regarding this

1. Condoms alone are safe enough right? I do not have to use extra protection like contraceptive pills right?

2. I have pcos. So because of this is there a chance of painful intercourse?

Brief Answer:
No additional protection needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi

You are right. Condoms alone are enough.

You don't need any additional pills or contraceptive.

PCOS does not cause painful intercourse. Don't worry.

Brief Answer:
You can take Oral contraceptive pills along with Primolut N.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You can have oral contraceptive pills along with primolut N. Its extra addition and unnecessary but safe.

The oral contraceptive comes in a single standard dose and a pack of 21 tablets. I prefer oral contraceptive pills called XXXXXXX for my patients as they are low dose and effective. You can opt for the same.

This XXXXXXX contains a strip of tablets with detailed instructions inside the pack. This tablet has to be taken one each day after food as per your convenience. You can continue the medicines till complete pack / strip is over.

Thanks for the reply.
So I can start taking the contraceptive pills one day before the intercourse right?
i,take one primolut n in the morn and one in the night, so the contraceptive pill can be take sometime in between this ?
i am planning to stop primolutn by Dec11 th or so .., so after that if i take contraceptive pills upto 21 days, when can i expect my periods?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Soumya (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Start pills now

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Oral contraceptive pills should ideally be started from second day of the periods.Earliest day to be started is better.

You can take this contraceptive pill anytime or in between primolut. Its same effect.

You can expect your periods once you stop 21 days pill.

Its always best to take pill after period starts. If you are taking with primolut dont wait for primolut to get over. Start now along with it.
