Brief Answer:
Can take, determine right diagnosis to stomach issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

1. First, I need to know why you are taking Prisolec? for how long? are you taking on your own or after consulting your doctor?
at what dosage?

2. It is true that there is increased risk for bone issues when taking Prisolec regularly in high dosage and for more than one year.

3. If I was your caring doctor would determine the right diagnosis to your stomach issues to decide the right treatment strategy.

4. For the moment, I advise to :
- follow a healthy diet and lifestyle regimen to avoid aggravation of heartburn
- avoid medications that would also aggravate heartburn
- can take calcium supplements containing calcium, vit.D and other minerals.

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
Not enough time to cause damage

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

The both diagnosis gastritis and gerd are easily distinguished by upper endoscopy.
You are not mentioning the dosage of Prisolec you've been using.

However, considering you've been using it on and off for one year, this period is not enough to cause bone side effects as per research so far.

All the best!
