Brief Answer:
it can cause this problem

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pregnancy tests are accurate. They can detect pregnancy by day 11 to 14 after conception, once done is this range they can give the true result.

Emergency contraception can distort the period in some cases. It can potentially have no effect on the menstrual cycle, caused delayed period or affect the degree of bleeding that occurs.

If the tests were done in the correct time frame and are truly negative then this the likely cause.

If this is the case, it should regularize by the next 1 to 2 cycles.

The other causes of delay period are: (1)abnormal levels of thyroid hormones
(2)emotional stress or illness
(3)high levels of prolactin hormone
(4)physical illness
(5)perimenopause
(6)excess physical activity
(7)previous history of polycystic ovaries

If the period does not regularize by the next 1 to 2 cycle then blood tests can be done for the prolactin hormone, thyroid hormones and the check perimenopausal status.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
