Posted on Thu, 1 Jun 2017
Question: Hi, I have hashimotos and hypothyroidism.
I take euthyrox every morning on an empty stomach and an hour later still on an empty stomach I take vitex, royal jelly and fertivor. Can any of these supplements cause my tsh to increase or to cause my thyroid medication to become ineffective?

Please advise if any of the supplements below have contraindications to my thyroid medication or to fertility or to each other as well as the times they should ideally be taken.

P.s. I am taking the royal jelly to try and improve my amh levels

Brief Answer:
You can take these medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

You can take these medicines anytime you wish. They dont interact with each other and have no effect on your thyroid medication.

You can fix any one time of day to take them. There is no particular time.

However these supplements are not very effective and I am not in favor of them.

Considering your AMH levels , I suggest you should try going ahead with testing antral follicle count and subsequent ART treatment based on number of follicle count.

Royal Jelly does not improve AMH significantly. Majority of supplements you are taking are not of much use.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards
