Question: Hi Doctor I am 29 year old female. Trying to get pregnant. I used to travel in auto/bus/two wheeler (back seat) on daily basis to office. Say 3-4 km one way. Road is having undulation. had humps at frequent intervals. Is this traveling modes affect the chance of getting pregnant? what are the factors which we need to follow to get pregnant? i am taking OVACARE tablet suggested by doctor at night on daily basis. Can i take the tablet during mensuration time also?

Hi,

Undue humps and undulations during the journey would not affect the formation of foetus and implantation. If the gross anatomy of the Uterus is normal these would not hinder the implantation of the zygote (formed by female egg and male sperm). So do not worry about it. However it may require extra care during the early pregnancy.

Ovacare tablets looks to be vitamin supplement. No evidence states that the vitamin supplements improve the chances of pregnancy. If you are not ovulating you need metformin or clomiod. You can take this tablet during menstruation as well.

If you have tried for pregnancy for more than one year then it is time for your husband to test first and if normal then you should get tested.
