Question: Can Optiray or another similar radiopaque XXXXXXX be substituted for Omnipaque in the following situations while using fluoroscopy for imaging:
Intra-articular for arthrogram?
Epidural (not intrathecal) for epidurography?
For a SNRB?
Soft tissue to confirm needle placement?

Yes.we can use optiray in place of omnipaque.

Yes,we can use Optiray XXXXXXX in place of Omnipaque during fluoroscopy.There is no problem at all.
Both are iodine containing contrast media and widely used as contrast media.

Optiray contains ioversol wheras omnipaque contains iohexol.Both are non ionic contrast media and causes very less side effects.

Both contrast media are widely used in arthrogram,epidural injection,SNRB(selective nerve root block) and soft tissue to confirm needle placement.
