Brief Answer:
stop smoking

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for query

Acoording to your history you are having smokers cough, its due to brochitis.

A smoker’s cough is a persistent cough that develops in long-term smokers

Treatment of a Smoker's Cough
Of course, the best treatment for smoker's cough is to quit smoking altogether. While your cough may worsen for a few weeks after quitting, it almost always improves in time.

Practices That May Help your Cough Include:
Staying well-hydrated. Drinking 8 8-oz glasses of water per day can help thin secretions in the respiratory tract.

Gargling with salt water.

Using cough drops or lozenges that soothe your throat.

Exercise. Exercise can help to remove phlegm, in addition to its other benefits.

Eating a healthy diet. While it hasn’t been proven, some researchers believe that a diet high in fruits and cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and cauliflower, can aid the body in detoxifying some of the chemicals breathed in through tobacco smoke.

Thank you
Take care

The cough is not constant and does not persist. But a slight change in the temparature or even a getting slightly wet during rainy season aggravtes the problem. What i meant to say was that I catch cold very fast. Further, I drink atleast 3 ltrs of water a day. should I increase the intake of water?

No Need

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing again
If you are having 3ltrs/day is good.
Getting cold during rainy season is all due to climatic changes and viral flue
When you catch cold you can take tab Sinarest twice daily morning and night for 3 days.it reduces even fever.
