Question: I'm currently taking folic acid tabs 5mg, omeprazole 20mg, atorvistatin 40mg, bisaprolol 2.5mg and ramipril 1.25mg and aspirin 75mg.
I'm having severe back pain with pain down right leg with loss of sensation down right leg and foot - could any of these tablets be involved? And should I be worried about interactions between them.

Brief Answer:
These drugs and interactions of these drugs can’t lead to loss of sensation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read your query.

These drugs and interactions of these drugs can’t lead to loss of sensation in foot.

Atorvstatins can lead to leg spasm but no incidence of numbness.

Your symptoms of back pain with foot numbness suggest disc bulge and compression of nerve.
I will advise you to do MRI spine and if required colour Doppler leg consulting your doctor.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication like pregabalin can be started consulting your doctor.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
