Can Gabapentin Be Taken For Methadone Withdrawal?

Question: I'm starting Suboxin treatment next week to get off Methadone. She wants me to not take my methadone for 2 days to be in withdrawals. The 3Dr day I take first Suboxin. For to help with the withdrawals she gave me Gabapenton, not sure if I spelled right. Will that help alot.

Gabapentin is not specifically used for withdrawl it is used as associated drug to help with fits and body aches in case of withdrawal symptoms.

Actually suboxen or other benozdiazepens are used and they actually help with withdrawl..Gabapentin will help with some symptoms.

I would suggest you to follow the guidlines by the doctor and main thing to take care of will be to stay away from methadone or else everything will do in vain.Expect the best.
