2. The dosages of both medications that you are taking were not mentioned. It all depends on the dose. For instance, say two drugs "severely" interact with each other, there might be no problems whatsoever to people taking these drugs, if and only if the doses are appropriate and carefully calculated, based on body weight, BMI, the diagnosis and several other parameters.

3. This is called "acceptable risk" in the administration of drugs.

4. Kindly inform me as to why, you were prescribed Prednisone, perhaps I could suggest another drug, based on the information you provide? A medication that would have no issues whatsoever with Coumadin, or any food products.

1. After giving quite a lot of thought, your safety and pleasant experience with medications used to treat your conditions are of the greatest importance.

2. The problem, (with all people), is that Coumadin is a rather troublesome medication that interacts with a really huge number of other drugs. Drugs that people need to take.

3. Given the problems I suggest a safer drug like Augmentin (amoxcillin plus clavulinic acid) instead of Clarithromycin. Ask about this change with your prescribing doctor if he agrees to it. I would prefer this combination to the previous in my patients.

4. That's the only change you need to make. Clarithromycin creates problems with quite an assortment of medicines. Augmentin does not.

to explain to you in detail, about things that really matter.

Levofloxacin doesn't interact with Omeprazole, nevertheless...

So let's get started and keep things as simple as possible.

1. It's a no-fault illness that you have.
2. You have to take multiple medications for this.
3. Invariably there will be interactions between them.
4. Most interactions are minor or moderate, these can be safely ignored.
5. However, I would politely request you to make a list (it helps) of medicines
you are taking, perhaps unpleasant reactions to others in the past, and then,
present it to the doctor, whom you are visiting.

6. Levofloxacin has a "problem" with Prednisone.
7. Augmentin was recommended for you based on the fact that it did not interact with the other medications you are on.

8. Kindly cease prednisone for the time being. There are no issues.
9. Take the course of levofloxacin, finish it off.
10. Kindly ask your doctor about prednisone and recommence it if neccessary.

It's been good knowing you. Proactive, educated, and prudent people are like a breath of fresh air. So, I feel it's my sincere duty to keep you informed of everything. After all, it's your right, from what I gather, it's you, who will be taking these medicines.

Dear XXXXXXX Prednisone as you probably know is a steroid, and merely acts as an "accelerator" in the process of palliating ("lowering") your allergy. Let's say the other "meds" actually 'halt' the allergies 'dead in their tracks'. Considering them as, say an engine, of a car, a steroid like Prednisone is like the oil that makes the 'parts' work all 'better'.

I am using simple examples in an effort to communicate with you and make you understand the facts of the health problem. Once you grasp these facts, 99% of your problem is solved.

Prednisone was typically given for less than a week, because it hurts certain systems in your body.

I am confident that....

1. Levofloxacin and it's use will last a mere 3-4 days.
2. After which you can begin Prednisone. Please use it carefully.
3. The other drugs Montelukast, Dymista... and the like ACTUALLY work TO STOP and RELIEVE the symptoms that you are describing. Therefore you are safe and secure.
