46 years old. Missing period. Pregnancy test negative. What is causing this?

hi im 46 yrs old 7 weeks late for my period and pregnancy tests are negative periods are always regular

At 46,pregnancy chances are there,though the chances are low.
The body goes through some hormonal changes/imbalance during this time.We call it the peri-menopausal age group.You may get irregular cycles on and off until you achieve menopause. This is a natural process. If the pregnancy test is negative,you need not worry.
Just observe and maintain a menstrual chart.You may skip periods and cycles may be irregular.
If you dont get periods for at least 6 months at a stretch,a hormone profile can be done to confirm.
