Can Optic Nerve Compression Lead To Blindness ?

have met with an accident and to prevent from getting into coma surgery have been done after 3 days. As of now she is out of danger from life but there is loss of vision and memory. These are post symptoms of surgergy. She is fine with memory and vision prior to surgery. Can we find any kind of help from you people. I am waiting for your reply.
