Ok, so the major thing you think about in Marfans is the possibility of Aortic dissection. Thats blood splitting through the aorta (big blood vessel coming out of the heart). Now, ECG's are a terrible way to diagnose an dissection as all they will show is what we call "ischemia" that means poor blood flow to the heart. Problem is ischemia is seen in smokers, the obese and tons of other situations.
