my mother has been taking lorazepam 0.5 mg for about three days, she is so drowsy that she is not awake most of the day. She does not want to do anything but sleep. I am giving her the medication at night and she is still drowsy during the day. She has always been a sleepy head because she use to be busy during the day and now her life style has changed where she has slowed down considerably. Her doctor states she is depressed. I can tell that she is anxious because she is constantly worrying if her bills are paid. She even worries about if it will rain, snow or if she can pay for her medical care. Also, she always says she can't walk, eat or drink, but she is constantly doing these things. She has never been a negative person always a go getter. I am working on getting her into psychotherapy, hopefully soon.
