My Husband Takes Eliquis For Heart AFib. He Has Blood

my husband takes Eliquis for heart AFib. He has blood in his urine and Urologist wants him to stop Eliquis but heart Dr. says No. He drinks a glass of cranberry juice (8oz.) and now seems to have more blood. Could the color of his urine be darker red than it was because of the juice?
