My 84 Year Old Mother Had Surgery For Spinal Stenosis

my 84 year old mother had surgery for spinal stenosis january 2016. Surgery was successful and in-patient rehab for Physical/Occupational Therapy was ordered. For 100 days, she was an in -patient at luxurious rehab facility but REFUSED any and all PT/OT...she never came out of her room and all personal hygiene was done FOR HER from her bed. She was totally non-compliant! Upon discharge from rehab, she returned to her luxurious condo. As a result of not complying with PT/OT, she had become a paraplegic who requires total care, 24/7. She does not experience any pain or discomfort in her back or legs, other than swelling from no activity. She is not truthful with drs about her level of compliance and as a result, she is undergoing test after test followed by expensive trial procedures to regain the use of her legs (i.e. EMG test on 3 February). My question is this, after not even attempting any PT over the past year, being wheelchair/bedridden, is there such a procedure that will magically allow her to regain the use of her legs, walk, stand, etc? thanks.
