my 17 month old grandson developed a swollen ear--bright red and quite swollen--mostly on the upper half. He doesn't seem to be in much pain but it bothers him somewhat. he has been to the doctor and they have given him Tylenol and prednisone (?) starting Thursday afternoon. the swelling has come down but he has now developed a fever 101.7 the last time and he won't eat and does not feel good. the doctor said there was no insect bite detected. he did not injure it as far as we know--seems that it just developed over a couple of hours. started on Thursday morning and now the swelling is down but he has the fever and has no appetite and seems lethargic/achy with a consistently high fever of around 101 +-. Any ideas?
