i missed a month period and had symptoms of pregnancy. a blood test came out positive but a scan result shows that the uterus measures 7.2cm by 6.4cm. no viable foetus nor discrete gestational sac seen within the uterus at present. There is however the appearance of an echo-poor mass measuring 4.9cm by 4.9cm in the anterior uterine wall. There is also a small thick walled left sided adnexa ring measuring 1.3cm by 1.4cm. In addition, there is a cystic bilocular echolucent mass in the right adnexa with the locules measuring 2.8cm by 2.4cm and 2.4cm by 2.3cm. the pouch of douglas is empty. the endometrial cavity line measures 7mm in diameter. am i actually pregnant or could there be any other reasons for the pregnancy symptoms and positive test result?
