Gin Andtonic In Diet Controlled Diabetes

my did is diet controlled diabetic is he allowed to drink gin andtonic?
since my dad has been diagnosedwith diabetes hes had to slightly change his life style but someone has told him its ok to drink gin and tonic he is drinking alot of it every evening and very often has bad blemishes on his face the next day

Hi.. Any type of alcohol is fatal in diabetes when consumed in heavy amounts. He can take the drink but not more than 2 servings per day. This will prevent unnecessary complications.. Increased alcohol consumption can lead to transient blood sugar levels and followed  by low sugar levels which can some times lead to serious complications. It is  better to restrict and best to avoid the alcoholic drinks...
