could you please evaluate a situation that after a high risk exposure (anal insertive brief for 2 minutes unprotected) first tested at home using rapid test a faint grey control line and faint pencil grey colour test line after few minutes of control line apearance. tested at 5 weeks. second time tested with the same brand alere determine hiv antibody test came out negativea at 7 , 8 and 9 week, 10 week tested in clinic with sd bioline rapid test negative 13 week again alere determine rapid test negative 15 week tested in clinic with rapid test negative and they said i dont need further testing i am still concerned about my first test i spoke to the doc he said the determine should give bold red line in control for all valid tests and a coloured line pink or red this grey line is nothing and he has seen such lines many times according to him the test was not a valid test and therefore repeat test came negative. if my first test positive it can never show negative follow up tests
