Yes, I had a permanent crown put on and after a day, it became extremely painful. My dentist sent me to a Endodontic for a root canal. He said I did need one but tried to refit my tooth. Well, that did help in fact, it became more painful. My dentist sent me to a different Endondontist, but between the time he did the root canal--with a day, I developed an abscess, a pretty big one. He gave me antibiotic and pain pill. Well, after four days I still have a hard abscess. I went back to him and he lased it, it is still hard. He told me to continue with my antibiotics and if it doesn't work he will give me a different type. The question I have is when my dentist last spoke with me she said she used a different sealing solution on the crown. Could that sealing solution cause the infection? And if so, should I have the tooth removed?
