Would Taking Adipex Cause A Feeling Of Raw Tongue ?

I'VE BEEN TAKING ADIPEX FOR 2 MTHS NOW. THE FIRST FEW WEEKS, I DID NOT HAVE THIS BUT IN THE PAST MONTH OR SO, I HAVE DEVELOPED A CONSTANT RAW TONGUE. IT EVEN AFFECTS MY SPEECH. I TALK LIKE I HAVE A LYSP OR SOMETHING. I'M MISERABLE. OTHERS HAVE NOTICED MY SPEECH ALSO.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms you are suffering from Glossitis which is causing raw and inflamed tongue and it is occurring secondary to intake of Adipex which contains active ingredient Phentermine.
Phentermine cause dry mouth and raw tongue is due to dry mouth as due to insufficient saliva there is inflammation of mouth and tongue..

Nothing to worry, consult your physician and get evaluated and he can reduce the dose of medicine or get it replaced with other drugs to relieve the symptoms..

As of now you can start with supportive treatment for relief like:
You can gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine as it will help in relieving pain and discomfort especially during meals..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen.
Chew sugarfree chewing gums as it will stimulate saliva flow..
Suck ice pops and gargle with cold water.
Avoid hot and spicy foods.
Drink plenty of water..
