Would Hemerroids Cause Bloody Mucus Leak From The Anus?

Hi, I have previously seen a gp about this problem, (around a year ago) which was bloody mucus coming from my anus on a daily basis. This was investigated and found no problem and they said the blood was due to hemeroids. This did stop for a while but started again and has recently got worse, but I now have quite a lot of brown runny liquid comin out. I seem to get quite bloated aswell on an evening but have regular bowel movement. Thankyou

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns:
Blood with mucus from the anus has to be taken seriously and hence needs proper investigations as follows:
Tests of stool for three consecutive days.
Per-rectal digital examination and ano-proctoscopy.
Tests of blood.
A course of an antibiotic, Metronidazole and probiotics.
If there is no relief then colonoscopy and CT scan of the abdomen are most needed to get a proper diagnosis and proper management.
