Hallow Dear, With the hip dislocation and fracture history, there is a possibility that the bony pelvic cavity might have become irregular. The pelvic bony cavity is so deigned by mother nature that the foetal head smoothly rotates and descends within the bony canal to come out of through the vagina easily. Due to any cause, may be trauma, calcium deficiency diseases, inequality in the limbs, etc. when the pelvic cavity becomes irregular, the baby s head cannot pass through the bony canal and faces obstructions. Hence, in such cases, we prefer to perform elective Caesarean section delivery. Ultrasonography images of the pelvis can give us information about the normalcy of the pelvic bony canal and its relation to the head of the foetus. Based on these findings, decision about the mode of delivery can be taken. However, I feel with the history of fracture of the hip bones and screws in the pelvis to fix it, you do not stand any chance of vaginal delivery.
