Will Taking Medication During Breast Feeding Cause Harm To Child?

Hi Doctor - My wife age 30 has been recently diagnosed as RA by an Orthopaedician...we have a 15month old baby. He has prescribed Sazo - salfasalazine 500mg and HCQS-hydroxychloroquine-200mg. Are these latest medicines in DMARDs? She is breast feeding. Will this affect my child health?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
15 months baby does not need breast feeding.
This will not meet baby's needs.
Better try to wean the baby from breast and switch on to solid foods.
If she is breast feeding occasionally there is no harm.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
