Will Protected Sex And Consumption Of Antivirals Prevent Spreading Of HSV-1?

I have recently been diagnosed with HSV-1 in the genital area. If I had protected sex (condom) and am taking antivirals, and I don t have any open sores (just one scab that is completely covered and not open at all) what are the chances of it spreading? Also, if someone already has HSV-1 orally, can they still be given it through genital contact from me?

Hi, I think even if you don't have active lesions, herpes can be transmitted through asymptotic shedding of virus. It is also transmitted through skin to skin contact. So, protected sex and antiviral can't prevent transmission of herpes totally.
