Will Periods Be Delayed Because Of Hypothyroid Medicines?

MY GENERAL PERIOD DATE IS 18 of this month and i did not get it til now. I am diagnoised for hypothyroid and started taking 50mg tablets from 16 of this month. Is ther any chance ofdelay in period because of taking these tablets. I am 29 year old, 5 feet and weight of 41 Kg. and i am married.

Hello,
Good day. Hypothyroidism can cause irregularities in periods including delays. The current delay in periods is unlikely to be due to the tablets which you started taking on 16th. As you are married, first thing to do would be to check for pregnancy test early in the morning in a urine sample. If that is negative, wait for few more days and if periods doesn't start, then you may have to repeat pregnancy tests and if negative/positive, you need to meet a doctor
