Will Menstruation Be Normalized After Discontinuing Norethisterone Medication?
Hi, My question relates to taking Norethisterone (Utovlan). I understand how it works but did not manage to find any information about how the cycle works after the delay. I am presuming that once I stop taking tablets and have my period at the rescheduled new date next menstruation comes after approximately 28 days after the first day of the new date? Or is it possible that this cycle is interrupted and period can come sooner? Thank you.

Usually delay in periods (provided it's not pregnancy...)are due to hormonal disturbances.Such disturbances csn be regularised with three cyclical consumptions of o.c. like norethesterone.Major problems need investigations/diagnosis &specific treatment.
So your cycles would also resume normality after you stop taking after 3 menstrual cyckes ( with a guidance of a gynecologist).
